Sailboats to Start With

First boat was a 21 foot Ventera sailboat in 1992.

 Darrell at the controls.

The second boat was a Pearson 23 ft. sailboat in 1993.
The person who bought this one was planning on sailing it to Hawaii.

Cabin Cruisers

Third one was a Hunter power boat bought in 1994.
 

 Fourth boat was a Chris Craft.

 The twin engines took a lot of gas.

Bigger Sailboats

 In 1998 their fifth was a Catalina 25 ft. sailboat located at Stockton Sailing Club.

Sixth was a Santana 30 ft. sailboat docked in Emeryville Yacht Harbor.
We got this one stuck on a sand bar for a moment during a low tide.

Fishing Boats

 A 42 ft commercial salmon fishing boat made and docked in San Francisco.
I believe that he got this at an auction in Stockton, CA.

 The eighth boat was a little Monterey Clipper fishing boat,
and it was also berthed at San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf.

 Number nine was also a Monterey Clipper fishing boat called
the Betty Elaine, named after our Mom.

 Tenth was also a fishing boat, a Santiago,
which has a single piston engine in it.

The Yacht

And there was the 40 foot Hershine yacht, number 11.
It had two bedrooms and two baths, and a central living area.
Darrell use to like to dock up at Treasure Island in the
San Francisco Bay, under the Bay Bridge.

Before Darrell was into boats, he was a potter selling at crafts fairs 

 and was the pottery lab tech at the Modesto Junior College for a number of years.
